Definition CPV / CRAS Total is an integrated, summarising reading framework in which the core signals of readiness and adaptation are read not in isolation but in relation to one another, into one overarching read-out. A composite read-out gains practical meaning when it is read via zones — for example a risk zone, an adaptation zone and a zone of high readiness — which translate the figure into a readable decision category without losing the underlying nuance.

The common thread is co-metabolism: readiness, resilience and recovery arise from the interplay of DNA, microbiome, metabolites and lifestyle together — never from one layer alone. That is precisely why a summarising framework is useful: only when you read the layers together does it become visible why the same load leads to growth in one person and to exhaustion in another.
