We live in an age of measuring. Wearables, blood tests, microbiome analyses: never before has there been so much data about our bodies. And yet many people do not feel better understood — only overloaded. Biological Intelligence turns that relationship around. It is not about collecting even more figures, but about the ability to réad them: what does this signal mean, in this context, for this person?
Think of the difference between a dictionary and someone who truly speaks a language. Data is the dictionary; Biological Intelligence is the fluent speaker who understands what the sentence méans. It combines measurements, weighs them against context and recovery, and translates that into something usable: load up now or recover instead, carry on or course-correct. That is how biology becomes readable — not a mountain of data, but a story that gives direction.
The science behind
The term ties in with the rise of multi-omics and integrative physiology. Where isolated measurements (genome, microbiome, metabolome, wearable data) each show a fragment, the scientific challenge lies in integration: how do you combine heterogeneous layers into a coherent picture? Research into integrated personal profiles (including the multi-omics cohorts described in Cell and Nature Medicine) shows that the predictive value lies not in a single layer, but in their mutual pattern. Interpretation — not measurement — is the scarce skill.
Biological Intelligence also draws on psychophysiology and the concept of allostatic load: the body continually translates pressure, recovery and context into measurable changes across several systems. A single figure (a high cortisol reading, say, or a low heart rate variability) only takes on meaning when it is read against sleep, load, nutrition and rhythm. This approach treats data explicitly as interpretable logic, not as an automatic conclusion — the emphasis is on biological understanding, not merely on algorithmic processing.
The common thread is co-metabolism: the reason the same reading means something different for two people is that DNA, microbiome, metabolites and lifestyle interact differently in each of us. Biological Intelligence is therefore not a technology in itself, but a reading attitude that weighs the layers togethér and translates them into direction. It does not tell you with certainty whát will happen, but helps you understand what the body is asking for now. This reading is supportive and observational — not a medical diagnosis.
